Ashley Houston
Ashley founded Your Household Hero in 2023, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in the wedding industry that began in 2004. She holds a Master’s in Hospitality Management with a focus on Event Management from The George Washington University, and her approach centers on strategic planning and attention to detail to create calm, personal, and intentional weddings. Having planned weddings of every size including her own, in just three months during the pandemic Ashley is dedicated to protecting her couples’ peace and making sure they truly enjoy their special day.
Alex Moore
A South Carolina native with wedding planning experience dating back to 2010, Alex holds an Associate’s and Bachelor’s degree from Johnson & Wales University focused on hospitality and event design. She’s coordinated everything from intimate ceremonies to black-tie weddings for up to 500 guests, bringing an eye for detail and logistics to every event. Married for over 12 years herself, she offers couples a genuinely empathetic perspective throughout their planning journey.
Leah King
Leah brings nine years of experience across cosmetic retail management, professional makeup artistry, and hospitality. She’s built her career around creating exceptional client experiences from helping clients look and feel their best to running a busy, welcoming coffee shop and brings that same warmth, attention to detail, and anticipation of clients’ needs to every event she helps plan.
Rashidah Daniels
Rashidah is a St. Louis, Missouri native who has called Charleston home for the past seven years. She brings over six years of hospitality experience, with a strong focus on guest experience, operations, and thoughtful service. In her role as an Inspired Hospitality Trainer, Rashidah educates and mentors team members on the difference between basic customer service and true hospitality, emphasizing preparation, communication, and care. She brings this same approach to weddings and personal events, helping ensure celebrations are executed smoothly, efficiently, and with intentional attention to the guest experience.

Do you only coordinate weddings or do you help with other events too?
We love all kinds of celebrations. From bachelor and bachelorette parties and bridal brunches to birthday parties, graduation parties, holiday gatherings, and private dinner parties, Your Household Hero brings the same calm and capable coordination to every event we touch.
What is the difference between day-of coordination and full-service planning?
Day-of coordination is perfect for the couple or host who has already planned everything and just needs a professional to execute the vision on the day itself. Full-service planning means we’re with you from the very beginning, handling vendors, timelines, budgets, and every detail from your first consultation to the last dance.
Do you work with our existing vendors or do you have preferred vendors you recommend?
Both. We work seamlessly with whatever vendors you’ve already booked, and we also have a network of trusted preferred vendors across Charleston and the Lowcountry we’re happy to recommend if you’re still building your team.
Can you help with floral design and catering too?
Yes. In addition to coordination and planning, Your Household Hero offers a la carte floral design with no minimums, private chef services, and charcuterie grazing tables so you can pull as much or as little from one trusted team as you need.
How far in advance should I book?
For weddings we recommend reaching out at least 3 to 6 months in advance, especially for month-of or full-service planning. For smaller events and parties, a few weeks of lead time is usually enough. That said, reach out regardless of your timeline and we’ll do everything we can to make it work.
What areas do you serve for weddings and events?
Your Household Hero serves Charleston and the greater Lowcountry area including Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island, Isle of Palms, James Island, Johns Island, and surrounding communities. We also serve the Charlotte and Columbia, SC markets for select events.
